I'm using a renewal lotion by Vaseline now just to keep that area of my legs smooth looking. Has anyone used any lotions (continuously – in order to see the effects) that have worked great to banish the appearance of wrinkles and cellulite in that area?
Anti-Cellulite

No idea! but buy a body brush and brush the areas with cellulite oh and use some sort of massager too, i cant remember why but it is suppossed to improve cellulite plus any creams you buy will tell you to massge it into the area
Ok, I HAVE a balanced diet, I weigh 134 pounds and am a very healthy person. I am in ballet, swimming, pilates, yoga, and hip hop dance classes. I am just curious to see if it ever goes away. I've heard horror stories. I also model, so I have to figure out how to get rid of it.

Try those firming lotions or go to the salon and have one of this stimulation treatments (they're supposed to smooth out the cellulite).
And what other active ingredients would?

Try acnefree, it's available in wal-mart and shoppers drug mart for $19.99, and if you don't see changes in 3 days you can return in for a full refund. You've got nothing to lose other than your zits!
Just noticed my first bit of cellulite ever & am panicing lol

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm

Get an online, desktop, or cell phone diet and fitness calculator. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.

Here are two articles on how to break through a weight loss plateau:

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier.

I've been using Dove Intensive Firming Cream for my legs and I haven't really noticed any changes except my skin is pretty soft. I've seen a commercial for a lotion from Nivea….says something like Goodbye Cellulite or something like that. Has anyone tried that yet or have anything better that has worked for you? And you've seen results?
Just to add, I workout everyday and drink nothing but water. I don't have a bad case of cellulite, I just want to get rid or soften the look of what little I do have.

Use Nivea – Goodbye Cellulite, it totally works, in about 8 days you'll see the difference. you have to apply it everyday though, and maybe do some squats in the morning, that couldnt hurt either. thats what i do, and i love my legs!
I am overweight and currently on a weight loss regimine to loose weight. I have lost about 5 lbs already (you have to start somewhere, right?)

I just got out of my daughter's bathroom since they are redoing mine, and OMG .. the lighting made it very apparent that I have alot of cellulite and alot of stretch marks.

STRETCH MARKS
-bikini line
-lower tummy
-hips

CELLULITE
-butt
-thighs

It's not attractive at all .. Can someone please tell me how I can lessen the appearance or make it go away as much as possible???

Thanks so much!!

The best advice I can think of is to drink lots of water, eat healthy, work out and focus on the parts of your body that you like as you try to accept the parts you don't. Try not to worry about it too much. For stretch marks, I would suggest rubbing "palmer's cocoa butter cream for stretch marks" on them, followed by vitamin E oil (straight out of the caplets – buy the natural/d-alpha ones). Do this daily, preferably right after exfoliating well in the shower and once before bed. Be consistent in order to see results. But even if you don't, treating them this way will make them look and feel better to you than leaving them untreated. For cellulite, try rubbing/massaging coffee on it (since caffeine is in lots of cellulite lotions) for a couple of minutes every couple of days.

I've also read that MSM cream and supplements are good for stretch marks (see the last poster):

These links might also offer some solutions. Good luck :)

http://spas.about.com/od/skincare/a/Cellulite.htm

….And don't forget, at the end of the day, these are just small imperfections in a world that expects every woman to fit into some impossible ideal of "perfection". Try to keep it in perspective. It's still your body and it's still functioning well. And you can walk, run and move those stretch-marked hips back and forth. That's more than lots of people are able to do. Be grateful for your body. Anyways, your stretch marks and cellulite just show that you are a woman who HAS LIVED. :)

Like around the butt and thigh area?
I'm not fat. I'm a size ten and just becuase i'm not stick thin doesn't mean i'm not beautifull. So shut your face.

Apparently body brushing is amazing. Before every shower or bath, from the feet up with long strokes. It wakes you up and helps eliminate toxins. Dont eat to much processed food, drink lots of water and exercise. I also love the Nivea Q10 body lotion. It makes you really soft and firms up your skin.
And once you have it, can it go away with diet and excersize? cuz Mischa Barton is thin but she has cellulite so its not just about fat is it?

Hi,

There is no one cream or one diet or one exercise, that would work against cellulite. You have to combine healthy lifestyle, massage, treatments and exercise.

The fastest way to reduce cellulite is having at least a couple of body wrapping procedures. You will see the results after the first time, but a course of 3 or 4 procedures will work best. Also try to scrub and dry brush your problem areas every day. Take a contrast shower. Use some lotions or body oils, they do not have to be very expensive to work.

If you can do everything I mentioned above, for at least 2 weeks, you will definitely see good results! And do not stop working on it when it seems to disappear! I know because I work on it every day also :)

Have fun!

No. Unfortunately. If it did, the world would be cellulite free.
