Help! I used to be a very skinny teenager and now in my mid twenties my arms have fattened wider and I have terrible cellulite on my legs. My legs have also become a lot bigger. I am otherwise quite slim and am enjoy having a few curves. But my arms and legs are just horrible! I have been on birth control pills since I was 18. Could that be the casue of all this? Is there any way to reverse it? Please thank you.

Plenty of exercise and it won't happen over night but it is a constant battle for woman.A full length mirror will help if you see it coming after your rid of it you can stop it before it gets out of hand.A daily walk helps, leg stretches and hind kicks are great for the legs but simple 3 to 5lb eights for woman will help with the arms.Never turn your back on the sneak up on you cellulite!! I use to wonder do you see it coming or do you just wake up one day and it's there? I didn't see it coming and freaked so I found a way to control it .Good-Luck!!!!!

Cellulite is caused by two things, 1) Fatty tissue and 2) Connective tissue. The appearance of cellulite is caused when the width of the fatty tissue exceeds the width of the connective tissue and when the connective tissue loses elasticity.

The first can be taken care of primarily by diet and working out. Drink your fair share of water, don't eat too much and work out to maintain your metabolism. The second is more problematic and gets worse as you age because collagen is not regenerated so the tissue becomes less elastic and of course most people gain weight as they age because of a less active life style and a drop in metabolism.

There are treatments out there that are supposed to be able to help with both the fatty tissue and the connective tissue. The treatments reduce the fat and provide elasticity to the connective tissue. Some of their names include Mesotherapy, Velasmooth and Endermologie. Explanations for all can be found on the attached site.

I am 5'6" and only 120 lbs and I have cellulite on my butt and back thighs! Why?! I am normal weight. Will exercise simply do the trick or are there hidden secrets that may help?

There are various kinds of cellulites. One is found in the muscles of active women like dancers and runners. The hard or solid cellulites are difficult to eliminate, since they are fixed directly to the muscles. But soft cellulites are highly visible and can give a sagging look to the body. But though they are present in bigger muscle areas, they can be easily removed.

Unfortunately, cellulite problems commonly plague women. The problem can begin at an early age of 14 years and the affected areas can become bigger as they age. Women taking birth control pills and new mothers are also highly susceptible. Injured persons are also likely to develop cellulites.

Typically, cellulite can be recognized to a combination of things and isn't usually caused by just one. Some of the most common are:

Genetics, Lack of exercise, Diet, Insufficient water intake, Smoking, Stress, and Birth control pill.

Birth control pill: this is because the body's waste methods can't get rid of the massive flow of estrogen in the body.

So in your case, that can be part of the cause for cellulite.
Hope it helps!!!

Is it drastically lower carb intake, extreme exercise, lower caloric intake, or all the options….etc ….and no, dont say vomit!!

Katie I agree! I think the whole planet would be on it if there was!

Why don't you look into Yasim? It's meant to be fab. Good for the hair, skin and nails and shouldn't make you put on weight.

Good luck x

I have cellulite on my legs and butt for the first time in my life and am starting to lose a big amount of weight but unsure if it will go away. I've heard many different solutions such as creams and going on a fat-free diet. Please help, I'm not sure what REALLY works.

Cellulite is just a body fat distribution where there is relatively more on the upper thighs and buttocks.

While this can be of a hereditary tendency, it can however be controlled by a fat reducing regimen.

This include1. strict diet like the avoidance of high calorie food and drink, and2. regular cardio exercises i.e. exercises that increases your heart rate up to maximum, 80% of (220-your age) for a resonable duration.

Hope this answers your question.

I need to lose weight, cause I am currently overweight :( But I am worried, can my body just bounce back to what it was… what will happen with the cellulite, and stretch marks I got from gaining the weight? I know this may seem like a silly question but I am really worried that I'll lose the weight… and my body may not bounce back. (I don't believe I'll have excess skin)… but what would happen to the stretch marks, and cellulite?

Well, unfortunately there isn’t any way to specifically target cellulite areas or remove them. The term cellulite refers to the orange peel look on the surface of the skin, but that’s not where the problem actually is. It’s far below the skin surface, in the fat stored beneath. Your genetic directions have placed it too close to the skin, and it presses against the connective tissue holding all those skin cells together. Fat cells are rather uneven, where skin cells are somewhat brick shaped. So the fat cells press unevenly against the skin, which causes the dimples and puckers to appear. While you can reduce the total amount of fat in your body, you don’t get to choose where it all comes from. Matter of fact, fat reduction will come from all over the body. Worst of all, liposuction won’t work either. The body will simply replace it, and the process will damage skin connective tissue in the process- and you can end up with bigger dimples. About the only thing you can do is tone the muscle underneath it all, and control the overall body weight. I suppose you can also say nasty things about great-great-great Aunt Agatha as well. Unfortunately no matter what you do, some of the cellulite will just be with you. If there truly were a cure, you’d never see movie stars with it, nor plastic surgeons or dermatolgists. Whoever does manage to come up with a cure will be a gazillionaire. But as of yet, it doesn’t exist. For what it’s worth, really skinny, fit folks can still suffer from it too. Men just get a break because they don’t have as much body fat underlying the skin. Then again, that’s why we are soft and cuddly, and they aren’t. Sorry dear, but you will have to live with some of it. Keep the weight down, exercise to maintain tone, and try to keep a sense of humor about what’s left. Save your money on the products, they don’t work. The problem isn’t the skin, so they can’t work. Anything that promises to dissolve it is lying. Anything that was strong enough to actually breakup or dissolve fat would not be healthy to put on your skin. Sorry, but it’s the truth.
I was thinking on going on the pill but i am pretty scared that i will get stretch-marks and cellulite.. i heard the pill makes u gain lots of weight.. i wouldn't mind to get bigger breasts since im the smallest size but at the same time i dont want to gain stretch marks and fat around my butt-ox area .. has anyone had this experience?
