The cause of cellulite is hormones and genes.
There are many ways you can treat cellulite and of course eating well and healthy can only help.
Try not to eat too much fatty food.
You can get more information about cellulite causes and treatment here: http://www.plastic-surgery-information.org/cosmetic-surgery/cellulite-cosmetic-surgery/
I hope this helps. Good luck.

True or False: Cellulite is a special type of fat.
True
False
Explanation:
Fat is fat, whether it’s on your thighs or on your arms. Cellulite occurs when subcutaneous fat (found directly under the skin) gets pushed up through the layer of mesh-like connective tissue, resulting in a lumpy and bumpy appearance.
True or False: Men can get cellulite.
True
False
Explanation:
While the structure of men's skin prevents most men from getting cellulite, there are some cases of male orange-peel appearance—particularly in men with lower levels of the male hormone androgen. Overall, about 10% of men have cellulite (compared to over 90% of women).
True or False: Only liposuction can remove cellulite.
True
False
Explanation:
Extracting the fat layer between the skin and the fibrous bands of connective tissue can actually accentuate the lumpy appearance and make cellulite worse. Liposuction can remove pockets of stubborn fat, but it is not suitable as a cellulite treatment.
True or False: Exercising will prevent cellulite.
True
False
Explanation:
Even the most hard-core female athletes can have cellulite because of the nature of her fibrous connective tissue (see myth #1 above). Exercise will reduce the overall amount of fat you have overall, thereby minimizing the amount of cellulite you have. Tone, firm muscles will also make the cellulite you do have less noticeable.
True or False: Special creams may diminish the appearance of cellulite.
True
False
Explanation:
Topical vitamin A acid creams, such as retinol and tretinoin, can improve the look of cellulite by increasing collagen content and firming the skin. Other types of creams containing caffeine can improve skin’s appearance by temporarily plumping up the surrounding area, smoothing out the dimples. But these are only short-term solutions and not every product works the same way. The lumps and bumps will return when you quit applying these products.
True or False: Over time, tanning can camouflage cellulite.
True
False
Explanation:
Tanned skin does conceal the appearance of cellulite in the short-term. But UV radiation from the sun (or a tanning bed) actually weakens and thins the skin, making cellulite more noticeable over time. Use a self-tanning lotion instead of sunbathing if you want to minimize the look of your cellulite.
True or False: Scrubbing or dry-brushing your skin can help break down fat deposits and reduce cellulite.
True
False
Explanation:
Regular use of a loofah will increase circulation and slough off the top layer of the skin but it has little effect on cellulite because it cannot reach the deeper tissues. It may however help your skin look smoother by improving its surface layer.
True or False: Cellulite can be cured with special body wraps.
True
False
Explanation:
Body wrapping uses special wraps (plastic, rubber or cloth) in conjunction with lotions to supposedly reduce the amount of cellulite on the body. Most medical experts agree that this simply causes a reduction in water weight due to sweating and any inches lost will return once you are properly hydrated again. Losing too much body fluid can be harmful because it can cause an electrolyte imbalance and possible heart failure.
True or False: The FDA has approved a massage tool for cellulite reduction.
True
False
Explanation:
The FDA has approved a high-powered, handheld massage tool that consists of a treatment head, two motorized rollers, and a suction device that compresses the affected tissue between the two rollers. The procedure, called Endermologie, usually takes 10 to 20 treatments to get the best results. After that, one or two maintenance treatments each month are required to maintain these results. Without the maintenance, the benefits are soon lost. Each session typically costs $45 to $65.
True or False: Only overweight people have cellulite.
True
False
Explanation:
Thin people, fit individuals, and even those who are at a healthy weight (and healthy body fat percentage) can have cellulite, just as some unfit and overweight people may not have it. Most women will have cellulite to some degree. Whether or not you develop cellulite depends on factors like genetics, gender and hormonal levels.
The Bottom Line
Cellulite can be found on over 90% of women (and 10% of men), whether thin or overweight. But just because cellulite is common doesn’t mean you have to simply accept it as a fact of life. While eating right and exercising regularly can burn fat, and using a topical product may temporarily improve the appearance of cellulite, genetics plays the major role in the formation of these lumps and bumps. To learn more, read our expert answers to the question "How can I get rid of my cellulite?"
Cellulite, the dimpled appearance on the surface of the skin that is often described as "cottage cheese" or an "orange peel", is most common among women, especially on the thighs and buttocks. However, both men (about 10% of cases) and women can have cellulite, which can occur anywhere on the body, including the abdomen, arms and calves. Having some body fat is necessary and healthy for normal body functioning. Cellulite is simply visible subcutaneous ("below the skin") fat cells that bulge the skin.
While many people with cellulite feel self-conscious about it, simply having cellulite does not mean a person is overweight. Thin people, fit individuals, and even those who are at a healthy weight (and healthy body fat percentage) can have cellulite, just as some unfit and overweight people may not. Most women (90% or more) will have cellulite to some degree because they store more fat than men and their skin and fat cell structure is slightly different. Whether or not you develop cellulite depends on factors like genetics, gender and hormonal levels.
Because cellulite is fat, losing weight (if you are overweight) may help diminish the appearance of cellulite as the size of your fat cells decrease. There is no way to "spot train" any area of the body. Cardio exercise helps burn fat from all over the body and enhances fat loss. Strength training is important for both weight loss and overall health as well, but simply targeting the areas of your cellulite (hamstrings, buttocks, or abs for example) will not make it go away.
Many people can lose weight and notice an improved appearance in cellulite, but it's no guarantee. Because it's so closely linked to factors that you can't control (genetics, gender, hormones), losing weight may not completely get rid of cellulite.
Creams, treatments, massage techniques, and other cellulite therapies do NOT get rid of cellulite. While some products may help diminish the appearance of it through hydration or firming of the outer layers of the skin, these results are temporary won't result in weight loss.
thanks..
p.s i'm not overweight i'm 5'2 and 49kg i exercise daily treadmill and weights also swiss ball.

Good Luck
Dietary Factors
•Vit. C Supplement (1000 mg daily internally) – Increases collagen but not other necessary skin proteins.
•Eat nuts and seeds and take zinc and vitamins A, C, D, E, and B-complex as a preventative measure.
•Drink 2 liters of water daily to keep skin hydrated and moisturized.
Subcision (needling)
Break up the tissue to signal your body to produce more collagen, therefore, filling in the stretch mark. You do this with a skin roller. The needles injure the upper 1-2 mm of the dermis. This injury causes localized damage and bleeding. This will promote the normal post-traumatic infiltration of fibroblasts and the release of growth factors.
Homemade Stretch Mark Exfoliate
•With the help of a wet washcloth, exfoliate your skin first. Take ½ tsp of olive oil, cod liver oil and aloe Vera gel and mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Apply this mixture to the affected area or you can even apply it to the whole body as anti-aging skin treatment.
•Take sugar, cod liver oil, olive oil, aloe Vera gel and Vitamin E crème or oil. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and massage gently on the affected area. This mixture acts as an excellent exfoliating scrub and stimulates the blood flow.
•5 tbsp of scrub, 1 tsp aloe Vera, 1/2 tsp vitamin e, 1 tsp coco butter. Massage it over your stretch marks for a few minutes. Do it after you showered and before you go to sleep. Blot the areas your going to massage to maintain moisture. Do not put allot of pressure but focusing only on the skin, for about 3 minutes on each spot. Then use a bath sponge or loofa or towel for 3 minutes then rinse.
•Body scrub (mix with a little olive oil), cod liver oil, vitamin E oil/cream and aloe Vera gel. Exfoliate first but always make sure that you are scrubbing towards the heart – this stimulates more blood flow and is great for getting rid of cellulite.
•Using MicroDermabrasion System (Neutrogena, bought in stores) on stretch marks, about 3 mins on each mark in small upward circles. Then rinse the area with warm water and pat dry. After that, apply Vitamin E oil all over the area.
Homemade Stretch Mark Cream & Lotion
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Butter, 1 tbsp. wheat germ oil, 1tsp. light sesame seed oil, 1tsp. Apricot kernel oil, 1tsp. Vitamin E oil, 2 tsp. grated beeswax, 1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional).
Mix together all ingredients except vanilla extract. Heats gently until the cocoa butter and beeswax have melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Cool completely. Store in a clean jar with a tight fitting lid. Massage into your skin.
- ½ cup of cocoa butter, 2 tsp of sesame seed oil, 2 tsp of Vitamin E oil,1 tsp of apricot kernel oil, 2 tbsp of wheat germ oil and 4 tsp of grated beeswax.
In a pan mix all the ingredients and heat it gently until beeswax and cocoa butter melts. Cool the mixture after removing it from the heat. Gently massage your affected area with this homemade stretch mark crème.
- 1/2 virgin olive oil, 1/4 cup aloe Vera gel, contents of 6 capsules of vitamin E, Contents of 4 capsules of vitamin A
Mix all ingredients using a blender and store the mixture in the refrigerator. For best results use daily.
- Mix 3 oz of the Vit. E, 3 oz of the MSM lotion, 3 oz of Rose Hip Oil and 3 oz of emu oil (refined) – and then shake it well to mix it up. (note: Keep it cool, do not store in sun or heat) Then pump and massage into skin. Since Emu oil is carrier oil, it gets the Vit. E, Rose Hip Oil and MSM down to the deepest layers of skin.
Effective Oils
•Vitamin E Oil – Apply Vitamin E oil after taking a shower. Do not wipe it off. Apply daily. If you don't shower every day, clean the stretch mark area with a wet cloth and apply. You can cover the area with band-aids or gauze (use medical tape to secure).
•Olive Oil – For prevention, put olive oil on all areas that could be affected by stretch marks twice a day. Cover with a warm-hot washcloth. Leave on until rag is cold. Should notice improvement within the first few times. (Also works for wrinkle prevention.)
•100% pure mink oil, rub in twice daily until stretch marks are totally gone.
•Flaxseed Oil-Rub flaxseed oil on stretch marks after showering and again before bed.
•Applying lavender oil on the marks thrice a day will fade up the marks soon.
•Mix one ounce of carrier oil (avocado, sweet almond, jojoba, they are the best) with seven drops of lavender and five drops of chamomile.
•Rub castor oil on the stretch marks, rap with a plastic rap and place a hot pad on. Leave it on for 20-25 minutes and wash off.
•Use various essential herbal oils like avocado, rosehip, kukui, emu, neroli, chamomile, helychrysum, almond, camellia, etc. These essential oils are known for their healing as well as moisturizing properties.
Other Ingredients
•Grind coffee into a powder and mix it with hand lotion. Rub into stretch marks for about 60 seconds and wipe off with a warm towel. Apply twice daily. Results take about two weeks.
•Use the fresh aloe Vera gel on the affected area. Allow it to dry on the night and rinse off with warm water in the morning. It assists in the flexibility of the skin in order that as one stretches in the pregnancy, one will not find any stretch marks.
•Use plain yogurt, mixed with a little thyme, and rub it on the places with stretch marks. It also makes you feel like a bunch of dirt has come of those places.
•Egg white and egg white powders are greatly effective in treating stretch marks. As they are rich in protein, they provide protein to the skin. This will completely remove stretch marks.
•Cocoa & Shea butter is also effective in fading stretch marks. Shea butter acts as a hypoallergenic natural moisturizer which smooth your skin remarkably.
•Bath using a discoloration bar.

exercise: exercise is important because it burns that excess fat. It also tones the area that has become soft. Some people who exercise to remove cellulite will never succeed because they don’t target the cellulite area. example if you have cellulite on your thighs. You don’t want to be doing sit-ups, you need to be running, lunges or walking depending on your physical capabilities. Also to get the most benefits out of exercising to remove cellulite you need to work your cardiovascular and anaerobic systems.
As explain toxins and fats are a major cause to cellulite so you need make some alterations to your diet. You need to remove as much saturated fat from your diet as possible. This means no more deep fried foods and take-away foods. To reduce the amount of toxins in your body you don’t need a full detox diet. You just need to stay away from highly processed foods. This can be easy all you have to do to remove most of the toxins is eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.
Some people think you don’t need a cellulite cream, but to get the best results and fastest results you would probably want a cellulite cream. Why do you need a cellulite? Because, the cellulite has damaged your skins connective tissues and cell structure, and the longer you wait the worse it gets unfortunately. The are a lot of cellulite creams available, i reckon the best is Revitols cellulite cream. Revitol are becoming hugely popular as they have a proven track record with a product that works, and when it comes down to it you want a product that works. Their customer care is really helpful if you have any questions. http://www.naturalskincaretreatments.com

like for instance if you had 2 people, the same size, and had them both gain 10 pounds and one of them just gained the weight but didnt have the dimply look and the other did.
why is this?
what causes people to get cellulite?
how can you prevent it during weight gain?

i went for vela-smooth treatment and it did nothing.

* Eating a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and fiber
* Staying hydrated with plenty of fluids
* Exercising regularly to keep muscles toned and bones strong
* Maintaining a healthy weight (no yo-yo dieting)
* Not smoking (MedlinePlus)
The cause of cellulite is unknown. Many think salt intake may have something to do with it but has never been proven. Some theories point to stress, and diet as potential causes, or at least aggravators.(Wikipedia)
Please see the web pages for more details on Cellulite.

what causes it – yo-yo dieting, starving/depriving your body, lack of exercise (cardio), not drinking enough water, alcohol, non-organic food consumption, junk food etc.
just eat healthy, fresh, unprocessed foods, have small meals every 2-3 hours (5-6 small meals a day) and do cardio average of 45min 4-6 times a week (never go over 60min because you will not burn fat but muscle)

Cellulite is caused by two things, 1) Fatty tissue and 2) Connective tissue.
The first can be taken care of primarily by diet and working out. Drink your fair share of water, don't eat too much and work out to maintain your metabolism.
The second is more problematic and gets worse as you age because collagen is not regenerated so the tissue becomes less elastic and of course most people gain weight as they age because of a less active life style and a drop in metabolism.
If the infrared light penetrates subdermally and causes thermal damamge, there is a possibility that it might help to produce collagen. Current procedures that do work are Velasmooth and mesotherapy.
Good luck.
