
Walk very fast. Don't run for very long. It puts too much pressure on your lower legs and your ankle joints especially. Also, lay on your side with lower arm holding you head up. Lift your leg up and SLOWLY bring it back down. The slower your leg movements the harder it works the muscles. Do 50 (at first) on each side and you will definately feel the burn and notice the difference. As with everything else, tho, you must keep it up. Walking is good for you heart rate as well as your leg muscles. Lunges are AWESOME for your legs and butt, too. I use all three techniques and feel the burn from them all. The leg-lifts are my favorite.
